Flash Junior Competitive

Flash Junior competitive is a competitive league for boys 1st and 2nd grade and girls 2nd - 5th grade that are looking for a more competitive alternative to recreational leagues.  At Flash, we believe in building strong fundamentals.  And at younger ages, many bad habits are formed trying to get a full sized ball up to a 10' hoop, so we take that away to ensure kids grow into great form.  Our Junior competitive program includes:

  • Tryouts for appropriate level placement

  • Competitive coaching from Flash trained staff

  • 2x 1 hour skill practices on 8.5' hoops

  • Weekend 3v3 games on 8.5' to foster a great learning environment with a large quantity of game reps to improve skill and knowledge of the game

  • Flash Jersey.

Flash Rec League

The Flash League basketball program is a recreational league for boys and girls who are in Kindergarten through 4th grade. This is a league designed to create a fun and exciting atmosphere to introduce young athletes to the sport, progress them in their skill development, and develop their F.L.A.S.H. mentality.

Pregame intros, fog machine, music, concession stands, on-site cafe for that much needed parental caffeine boost, better trained coaches, and organization are just a few things that set us apart from other 'Recreational' leagues in our area. It is the most fun your kids will have all week!

Practices will be centered around the core fundamentals of dribbling, passing and shooting. Team concepts around offensive and defensive strategies will be incorporated as the season progresses. Participants will develop confidence and ability over this 8-week program, as well as a better understanding of sportsmanship.

Our volunteer parent coaches will all go through a comprehensive coaching clinic to standardize and elevate our coaching methodology across different age groups.

There are no tryouts, and every participant will be placed on a team. Teams are structured for parity and will compete against other Flash League teams. The season usually runs in the Winter season only.
