Flash Women's High School Basketball

Spring/Summer 2020 Women’s Competitive High School Basketball

FLASH is providing a combined Spring and Summer season (March through July) tailored to enable high school athletes to participate in their high school basketball activities (open gyms, camps, and clinics that 6A/5A coaches typically run during the OSSA "open period" May through June), while they receive a gold standard basketball education and consistency of playing on the same FLASH club team for an extended session, rather than composing a new club team for summer tournaments.

The high school season fee is $1450 a player + a one-time uniform fee ($125) for the extended season of March through July.  $450 of the $1450 fee is due upon tryout registration. It’s fully refundable if your child does not make a team and up until rosters are released; at which time it become non-refundable. Payment options available by request.  Cost includes 5-6 tournaments; one of which is planned to be a travelling tournament (e.g. Jam on it Tournament in Las Vegas on July 16th -19th).  Each player is responsible for all costs for their travel to games and tournaments, whether local or traveling.

High School Coordination:
FLASH is working with high school programs to maintain a flexible tournament and spring league schedule to accommodate high school spring/summer OSAA "open period" practice times.  As a result, players can get integrated into their high school programs, while also receiving high level skill development from FLASH coaches and facing elite competition from other national clubs in major tournaments.

Most teams will practice twice a week. Practice locations will vary. However, many teams will be at PDX First Church (6100 SW Raab Rd, Portland, OR 97221), Mittleman Jewish Community Center (6651 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland, OR 97219), and other facilities in southwest Portland (and potentially in Beaverton).

Spring tryouts will be held on March 3rd, 5th (preferred session) and March 6th(preferred session). A player is required to make at least 1 tryout session at their age level to be placed on a team.

Tuesday, 3/3 @ Valley Community Presbyterian Church from 6:30-8:00PM  Thursday, 3/5 @ MJCC from 6:30-8:00PM
Friday, 3/6 @ MJCC from 6:30-8:00PM
